Choosing Cruelty-Free Beauty as an Act of Kindness

A Whole Lot Of Love
There’s something about growing up with pets that you can’t quite describe. Is it the big smile and drooly kisses that your dog showers upon you when you come home? Is it the way your cat curls herself up on your bed and fervently tries to get your attention when you’re working? Is it the softness of your bunny’s fur as you stroke it gently? Is it how your horse nuzzles your face and places his forehead against yours? One thing that we are certain of is that there is love, and lots of it.
From The Pages And The Screens
For those of us who didn’t have pets, we certainly grew to love them in our own little ways. Through the pages of our books and flickers of our screens. Watching Kipper the Dog, Oswald, Garfield and Looney Tunes, made us grow fonder of animals than we ever were before.
If you’ve read Malory Towers by Enid Blyton in school, you would know the story of a thirteen year old girl called Wilhelmina (‘Bill’ by her friends and family) and how close she was to her horse ‘Thunder’. Always riding on horseback to and from the school and itching to visit him at the stables, every chance she got. You’d remember how she stayed with him all-night when he was sick, walking him around the stables, being worried about him as if he was a member of her family. Because to Bill, he most certainly was.
Which is why when we hear about cosmetic products being tested on animals, our hearts can’t help but sink to the depths of our stomach.
Why Being Cruelty Free Matters?
Despite recent developments in technology where one can test cosmetic products on lab-grown skin tissue, there are so many that are still being tested on animals, even today. This is where Seed&Skin comes in to make a difference. By introducing a plant-based cloud tint that is cruelty-free and comes in sustainable packaging, Seed&Skin continues to show a love for kindness in a world that fails to realise that our furry friends are just as important as we are.
YOUR CHOICE
Now, it’s up to you to make a choice. We hope you make the right one, as we leave you with the words of Maya Angelou: “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.”
